Founded in 1361, the University of Pavia is one of the oldest in Europe<\/strong>. In over six centuries of history, it has counted leading figures among its students, such as Gerolamo Cardano, Lazzaro Spallanzani, Alessandro Volta, Ugo Foscolo and Camillo Golgi.
\nToday, the University of Pavia represents a\u00a0point of reference as regards education and research<\/strong>, with over 25,000 students, 18 departments, 16 University Colleges, 1500 scholarships and 3300 internships.
