The Biomedical University Residence of the Fondazione Collegio Universitario S. Caterina da Siena was created to offer its students the opportunity to identify their vocations in a conducive setting that can provide them with inspiration during this delicate period of research and discovery. It offers them individual guidance, from their first day at university through to their first day in the working world.

With this purpose in mind, and in line with the objectives pursued by the Conference of University Colleges of Merit, the Biomedical University Residence formalises its mission through an educational project consisting, for the academic year 2018-2019, of a broad range of activities designed, as always, to help students deepen their knowledge of their chosen academic field, but also to promote their acquisition of soft skills and their personal and social enrichment.

The educational project runs throughout the academic year spent at the Residence and students are required to:

• participate regularly and actively in the activities offered as part of the educational project;
• achieve a participation rate of 70 hours for the first 3 years of study and 25 hours for the subsequent years, i.e. as from the fourth year of long-cycle (five-year) Master’s degree (“Laurea Magistrale a ciclo unico”) courses and the first year of second-level (two-year) Master’s degree (“Laurea Magistrale”) courses (for students who spend part of the academic year elsewhere, an average participation rate of 25 hours per year is expected);
• make their own personal contribution to the life of the College community;
• fill in a questionnaire assessing the skills acquired through the educational project.
