The bedrooms, study rooms and all services provided by the College
Bedrooms
Students are accommodated in single rooms with private bathroom, fully-furnished, complete with telephone and internet connection. Students must supply their own bed linen and bath towels, while a weekly cleaning service is provided by the College.
Study rooms
A large number of study rooms, and three rooms with satellite connection, DVD player and air-conditioning, are available for students’ use. The College also has a well-stocked video library.
Computer room and Internet access
The library contains over 11,000 volumes. These include texts for various university subjects, foreign literature works, Italian classics, books on local history, general and specialist encyclopaedias, dictionaries and study manuals, a section dedicated to the history of the Church and Christianity, theses by current and former students, magazines, and the “Lex 24 Omnia” legal database.
Computer room and Internet access
The air-conditioned computer room features an internal server, five PC stations with Windows operating system, and a multi-function printer (photocopier and scanner). The computers are linked to the network of the University of Pavia Calculation Centre via fibre optic cable, providing high-speed Internet access. Each student can connect to the Internet (via their personal account) from the computers in the computer room, or from their own room via Wi-Fi.
Conference room
The conference room has a seating capacity of approximately 200, and is equipped with video recorder, video projector, microphones, video conferencing system, audio-video recording, Internet connection, and air-conditioning system. It hosts meetings and events organized by the College and by external partners.
Chapel
The chapel was built at the same time as the College, and weekly Mass is celebrated here. The windows, altar and tabernacle are the work of priest and artist Father Costantino Ruggeri, while the holy water font was designed and created by Carlo Fayer. The walls are display drawings by former student Paola Longaretti, along with the canvas “The New Jerusalem”, donated by Silvia Vanossi Este, and a crucifixion by the painter Rosanna Garbarini.
Canteen
The canteen serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and is open from September to July.
Student kitchens
Kitchens for preparing snacks and hot drinks are provided on each floor, and are equipped with electric hobs and microwave ovens.
Garden
Originally the grounds of Villa Necchi, recently acquired by the College, the gardens are a place where the students can study, relax and unwind.
Laundry
The College provides a laundry for students, equipped with token-operated washing machines, irons and ironing boards, and clothes racks.
Medical care
Dedicated medical care and medical care at home is provided.
